Keeping the Lifestyle, Changing the Home

The brief was for an apartment, but entertaining was staying firmly on the agenda.

The brief was for an apartment, but entertaining was staying firmly on the agenda.

I helped a client who had not purchased a property for more than 25 years find their next home on the Lower North Shore. They wanted a low-rise building, water views and generous living space, without giving up privacy or convenient access to shops, cafés and transport.

We focused the search, assessed suitable properties and negotiated an off-market apartment in Cammeray. Its spacious layout gave the client room to host, in a quiet low-rise setting.

What mattered was not finding the smallest home. It was identifying which parts of everyday life the next property needed to support.

That is a useful starting point for anyone considering a change. Before counting bedrooms, think about the people you invite over, the furniture you actually use and how you spend an ordinary weekend. Those details make a much more useful brief than simply asking for something smaller.

If you are considering your next move, discuss your property strategy with me.
